Policy
- At Aurora, we wish to serve families who share our values and philosophy of education. Admissions decisions are made in Aurora by the Admissions Committee solely. No other faculty or management personnel are eligible to make admissions decisions and no others play any role in the decision-making process.
- Admission will be processed based on the application form and documents submitted, which are required to determine the potential of each applicant to benefit from the educational services provided by us, and our capacity to meet the educational needs of the applicant. The Admissions Committee will consider the academic experience and records of the student (if applicable), the interview with the student and parents, and the student’s performance on the assessment(if applicable) to determine if they meet our requirements for the class level. Aurora has limited resources for students with learning needs; the Admissions Committee will determine whether we will be able to meet the needs and requirements of the student before making a decision on admission.
- Admission shall not be denied because of nationality, race, gender or creed. Applicants will be accepted for admission if the eligibility criteria are met and there are vacancies at the applicable class level.
- After being offered admission, parents are requested to fill out and submit additional forms for our records and information, sign a Deed of Agreement, and read through our Parent Handbook carefully. After this paperwork has been completed, and all fees for new students, including the admission fee and the relevant term’s tuition fee, are settled, the student will be enrolled and can start classes with us.
- Given that we have limited seats in each class, the Admissions Committee may not be able to offer admissions to all successful applicants. In such cases, parents will be notified and their names placed on a waiting list. If and when a vacancy becomes available, the Admissions Office will notify those parents who may then complete the enrolment process.
- In some cases, the Admissions Committee may contact the student’s previous school to gather information if any concerns or questions arise about the applicant.
- If a student is offered admission, we will invite parents to complete the enrolment formalities within two weeks. If parents do not complete the formalities within two weeks and do not communicate with us about any delays they are facing, we may offer admission to any other student currently on the waiting list.
