On the 29th of July, two students were killed by a speeding bus in Dhaka city. For over a week after the tragedy, students all over Dhaka rose and protested for safer roads. No longer, could they let these tragic accidents get swept under the rug like dust, and have life go on like they never happened. No longer did they want to live in fear, to be held back by the strings of those who stood above them, be it age, rank or pos ition, etc. Even if they were looked down upon with annoyance as “merely powerless, noisy children” by many, unity was brought them all together. Creating the most powerful voice that not only resounded throughout Dhaka city, but also the world. The protestors who made themselves heard to make a change, demanded justice to be served – they may seem like a litter of helpless cubs. However, inside their hearts, burns the flames of the mightiest Tigers.
